About The Role We’re looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team! This position reports to the Human Resources Vice President as part of the National Direct Distribution & Group head-office HR team.

What You’ll Do Here

  • Lead a team of HR professionals and support their development via coaching, modeling key behaviors/strategies, encouraging collaboration, providing guidance to facilitate resolutions to work challenges and establishing HR as a valued partner for stakeholders.
  • Continue developing the service offering model to better support the unit manager in Canada.
  • Pursue the standardize of the employee relation file.
  • Develop, coach & train the HR team with this approach.
  • Continue the development of the Employee relation Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Ensure appropriate governance of practices.
  • Support, promote, and model Intact’s diversity, equity and inclusion vision and initiatives.
  • Lead some projects within the Direct Distribution Business unit.
  • Contribute to the deployment of Corporate HR initiatives.
  • Plan and coordinate the different actions, reports and analyses related to the HR cycle events (Performance Management, Rewards, Talent Management, Succession Planning as well as any other related programs).

What You Bring To The Table

  • University degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources Management or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • 8+ years of related Human Resources experience, some of which have been in a management capacity
  • CHRP designation
  • Strong knowledge and experience in employee relations matters in a large organization
  • Leadership, experience coaching, mentoring, and developing others (even remotely)
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required. Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country
  • Ability to instill trust, motivate and empower people towards a course of action and build team spirit
  • Effective communication & interpersonal skills to develop and foster favourable business relationships
  • Strong cross-functional projects management skills, flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment to work with others in a professional and effective way
  • Business acumen and results oriented
  • Professional, high-energy and goal oriented
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
