WorkSafeNB is seeking a one-year term contract for a Change Lead in our Change Management department. Reporting to the Manager, Change Management, you will play a key role in ensuring that organizational projects and initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget by increasing employee adoption and usage. You will focus on the people side of change, which involves preparing, supporting, and equipping people to adopt and use changes to business processes, systems and technology, job roles, organization structures, and more.

Your responsibilities are to develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage of required changes. These responsibilities also include plans and efforts to anticipate and minimize resistant behaviors from employees and stakeholders who are impacted by the changes.

Your goal is to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization of changes, and proficiency with the changes that impact employees who must use the changes in their daily work. These improvements increase benefit realization, and the achievement of results and outcomes.

While you do not have supervisory responsibility ( i.e. direct reports ), you must work with and through many others in the organization to succeed. Acting as a coach for senior leaders and executives, you help them fulfill their critical role of change management sponsor. You will support and coach people managers and supervisors as they help their teams through their transitions.

Similarly, you support project managers and project teams to integrate change management activities with their project plans.

You will operate at the portfolio level, focusing on system implementation while supporting all six elements of the change strategy: Communication, Engagement, Change Leadership/Sponsorship, Risk & Resistance Management, Culture Alignment, and Knowledge Transfer/Training.

Your key areas of responsibility include:

  • Developing the leadership competency for enabling change within our organization. Supporting Sponsors and People Leaders so they can effectively manage and sustain change.
  • Positioning change for success by developing a customized and scaled change management strategy with the necessary sponsorship and commitment. Defining Success, Defining Impact, Defining Approach.
  • Achieving adoption and usage of the change by creating, implementing, and adapting plan(s) that will move individuals and the organization through ADKAR transitions. Working closely with the Sponsor and People Managers.
  • Realizing the value of the change by ensuring the change is adopted and the organization is committed and prepared to sustain the change. Collaborating with the project team to revisit change actions and evaluate sustainability to ensure the project remains on schedule and that implemented changes are sustained.

You, as a successful candidate, possess:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • 3- 5 years of experience in a leadership capacity with demonstrated responsibilities of leading and managing organizational change by communicating with senior team members.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Change Management and a solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Strong understanding of strategic initiatives in the organization with a strong foundational understanding of inter-divisional and inter-departmental relationships.
  • Current industry best practices in change management methodologies.
  • Certification in Change Management from Prosci, ADKAR Model or any other recognized organization is an asset.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma is an asset.

Written and spoken competency in English is required.

Pay Scale $77,735.49 to $91,452.80

Hours of work are those required to perform the assigned tasks but shall not be less than 35 hours per week.

Benefits include vacation, sick time and the New Brunswick Public Service Pension Plan.

Your primary workspace will be your in-home office, however there will be monthly onsite meetings, so occasional in-person attendance is expected. For this reason, working from outside the province of New Brunswick, or country is not permitted.
