POSITION TYPE: Fixed Term, Full-time (37.5 hours/week) 1-year contract

Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Fund Development, the Mid-level and Monthly Giving Officer, Fund Development will manage a portfolio of mid-level and monthly donors. This role will further, support in the planning and execution of events, marketing and administration as required to support the wider goals of the Lumenus Foundation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop tailored fundraising initiatives for midlevel, monthly and major giving that support strategic initiatives

  • Identifies, evaluates and recommends the necessary steps to bring the prospect closer to making a major financial commitment to the Foundation

  • Develops marketing/communications strategies that support fundraising campaigns and programs

  • Cultivate and solicit current and prospective gift donors through tailored stewardship programs

  • Develops and implements donor engagement plans that support strategic objectives

  • Write briefing notes, solicitation plans and call reports to track donor interaction

  • Plans and implements activities (volunteer experiences, tours, meetings) for midlevel monthly and major gift donors, using existing activities as appropriate.

  • Collaborates with the Major Gifts Officer, Fund Development on donor migration.

  • Supports in the strategic development and execution of mass offline solicitation

  • Works with Marketing & Communications colleagues to develop major gift materials (proposals, stewardship materials).

  • Monitors weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual activity to achieve individual performance measures.

  • Leads the grant writing initiatives for the Fund Development team, from identification through to stewardship, engaging the support of the wider Fund Development and other relevant internal teams

  • Works with the Senior Director, Fund Development, create and implement a tribute offer for donors to Lumenus foundation

  • Tracks and reports relationship management activity using Raiser’s Edge.

  • Professionally represents Lumenus Foundation and its core values in all forms of communications and interactions.

  • Provides support for various major donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship functions

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fund development environment or a combination of education and experience

  • Working knowledge of and experience using Raiser’s Edge database

  • Experience providing data analytics and reconciliation

  • Knowledge of donor privacy policies

  • Knowledge of CRA guidelines

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with a variety of donors and stakeholders. Previous customer service experience considered an asset

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Impeccable attention to detail

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, Office 365 is an asset

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Project and time management
