You as a Regional Manager, Health, Safety & Environment will:
- Be responsible for all health, safety and environmental activities for an Area of the business that align with operational goals and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying HSE performance gaps and implementing corrective actions that enhance safety culture and operational efficiency.
- Use operational experience to proactively anticipate safety challenges and implement practical, field-ready solutions
- Lead environmental compliance efforts, including monitoring emissions, waste management, spill prevention, and ensuring adherence to local, national, and international environmental regulations
- Manage, mentor and develop HSE Managers & Coordinators in their business area
- Ensure that the HSEMS is being implemented and enforced in the respective area, including Regional Offices
- Conduct a quarterly Health & Safety Audit in their area of responsibility
- Ensure a risk mitigation plan is in place for subcontractors who qualify
- Monitor changes and/or additions to legislation and recognize industry standard practices for processes and procedures applicable to their respective area,
- Assist in the development of Corporate and Area initiatives and drive change for the better
- Deliver safety training and foster a safety-first culture that reflets real-world operational challenges.
Is this the right role for you?
- 6+ years of relevant Health, Safety & Environment and operational experience.
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Engineer or a related field.
- Deep understanding of provincial Health and Safety Acts and other relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Experience creating and enforcing safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Experience conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with local, provincial and federal regulations.
- Ability to analyze safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.
- You have previous experience managing and mentoring site-based EHS professionals and influencing cross-functional teams.
