About the role
We’re seeking a Project Management Specialist to support a pipeline Encroachments Project in Southern Ontario. The ideal candidate will manage landowner and third-party stakeholder engagement, conduct site visits, and coordinate resolution and consent for encroachments along the pipeline right-of-way (ROW). This role requires hands-on negotiation, regulatory understanding, and project execution coordination.
Job Location: Bolton, ON
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main liaison between project teams and landowners/third parties regarding ROW encroachments
- Conduct in-person site visits, negotiate mitigation solutions, and document outcomes
- Support project planning, stakeholder strategies, and site mobilization
- Coordinate and monitor service providers supporting field and engagement work
- Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams (Legal, Land, Regulatory, Pipeline Technical)
- Maintain documentation and support reporting, progress forecasting, and file close-outs
- Ensure all activities align with corporate values and CER compliance standards
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in land management, real estate, or a related field
- Knowledge of pipeline ROW acquisition, utility crossings, and encroachment resolution
- Understanding of the Canadian Energy Regulator (CER) Act and land use regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and SharePoint
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to field locations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent recordkeeping, reporting, and communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of GIS, mapping, and surveying
- Experience coordinating service providers and work plans
- Familiarity with regulatory and legal processes related to pipeline projects
- Background in negotiations involving land access or infrastructure projects
Working Conditions
- Office + field work (site visits expected)
- Travel required (approx. 20–30%)
