Sales Support Manager-Sales Compensation Location: Regina or Saskatoon, SK

Number of Positions: 1

Salary: $86,109 - $114,811 (Based on education and experience)

Type of Position: Permanent Full Time

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY As a member of BS&S, this position is accountable for assisting with the initial design and implementation and the ongoing administration of SaskTel’s Sales Compensation Plan (SCP) and various other compensation plans, including timely & accurate tracking, payment and dispute resolution. Accountable to act as an internal consultant to Sales management, as well as to participate in the analysis and maintenance of an effective Sales compensation program. Researches and analyzes external Sales Compensation programs and trends and develops recommendations to meet organizational objectives and strategic direction.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Work closely with Marketing, Product Development Group and Product Innovation teams during the annual budget and forecasting process, especially as it relates to the development and identification of strategic products.
  • Work closely with the Analytics team in BS&S in regard to target setting to ensure alignment with divisional financial objectives
  • Responsible to develop and analyze various complex data sets, including sales performance, financial targets and respond with plan adaptations, both short term and long term.
  • Responsible to interface directly with sales management and the various plan participants, to educate and motivate behavior, and ensure alignment between divisional strategies and sales outcomes.
  • Work closely with IS to monitor the performance of the sales compensation application.
  • Monitor the Sales Compensation Plan results and be part of a team that makes recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Work closely with the vendor for the sales compensation tool application to ensure that the tool is functioning properly and coordinate with them for system upgrades and improvements.
  • Provide training sessions, both group and individual, to users of the sales compensation application.
  • Model new sales compensation scenarios.
  • Be part of the management team that makes up the joint Management-CEP committee to oversee both the Consumer and Business SCP’s.
  • Responsible to Monitor competitive market conditions and trends in sales compensation and identify & recommend sales compensation solutions to meet organization objectives and strategic direction.
  • Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive issues and information.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration or Commerce with a major in Finance with significant experience in Sales or Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • General knowledge of marketing and sales principles and techniques, and the ability to apply such principles.
  • Strong statistical analysis, analytical skills and data management skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of database concepts and data modeling, with the ability to understand programming concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to influence others.
  • Thorough knowledge of computer-based applications.
  • Sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of sales compensation plans.

This is an on-site position located at the location(s) above. The successful candidate must be located within the province of Saskatchewan.
