Location: Miller Waste Systems – Hillsdale, ON

Position Type: Permanent – Full-Time (Afternoon Shift)

Reporting: Equipment Manager

Start Date: TBD

Hours: Monday-Friday, 3:00pm – 12:00am

Hourly Wage Rate: $22.71 per hour + $3.00 per hour shift premium

Summary:
We are looking for a highly capable Lube Technician to join our team, based in Hillsdale, ON.

Responsibilities:
In the position of Lube Technician your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with the occupational Health & Safety Act.
  • Service of all Company vehicles, such as chassis lubrication, oil changes and cleaning of trucks.
  • Conduct vehicle maintenance according to established MWS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain all required records and files for vehicle maintenance.
  • Will also be required to clean the shop, paint rims, and generally maintain the appearance of the equipment.
  • Assist mechanics with basic repairs and other maintenance on trucks.

Requirements:

  • Successful candidates will be mechanically inclined and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Should possess a strong desire to learn and an ability to apply that knowledge during their daily duties.
  • Previous experience as a Lube Technician or in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is key as well as working in a team environment.
  • You must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license for this position.
