What we offer you:

Wage:

• $25.00 per hour starting
• Wage Increase at 1500 hours worked
• Additional wage increase at 2500 hours worked
• Additional wage increase at 5000 hours worked

Great Shifts:

• Day Shifts 7:00am - 3:00pm
• Afternoon Shifts - 10:30am to 6:30pm
• Casual

Schedule:

What you bring to the Vineyards:

Job Duties:

• Providing high quality food to the residents
• Must be proficient in English (verbal and written)
• Follows food safe guidelines and hand hygiene practices
• Respectful communication with peers and residents
• Works as an effective team member, always going above and beyond
• Assistance with dining service and meal delivery
• Demonstrating knowledge of safety for residents and team members
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Experience:

• Graduation of Grade 12
• 5 years of professional cooking in a volume environment
• Successful completion of a recognized cooking program is an asset
• Previous experience in a care home and asset.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in prepping: soups, stews, roasted meats, sauces, limited baking
• Above average knife skills
• Clear and calm communication skills
• Advanced organizational skills
• Self-starting with minimal management supervision

License/Certification/Experience:

• Current Food Safe
• Criminal Record Check, working with Vulnerable Adults
• WHIMIS
