Senior Marine Crane Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Crane Systems Engineer with extensive experience in marine or offshore crane systems. You will play a key role in supporting the design, implementation, maintenance planning, and evaluation of marine crane systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead technical efforts to ensure systems meet safety, compliance, and operational performance standards.

Contract Type: 12-18 Months (Extendable)
Key Responsibilities

Provide expert input on the design, selection, installation, and operation of marine crane systems.

Support engineering changes related to crane systems, working closely with coastal engineering and delivery teams.

Develop requirement sets for 3T and 20T crane systems in support of procurement and RFP evaluations.

Conduct technical bid assessments and participate in System Requirement Reconciliation (SRR).

Prepare IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation & Qualification) plans for crane system requirements.

Ensure designs comply with SOLAS, Classification Society, ILO, and DND standards.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize crane performance, safety, and maintainability.

Prepare technical documentation including manuals, reports, and SOPs.

Assist with proposal development, risk assessments, and cost estimation.
Basic Qualifications

10+ years of experience working with marine or offshore crane systems.

Proven track record in the full design lifecycle and implementation of marine cranes.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Structural, or Marine Engineering.

Strong understanding of IVVQ processes, requirement development, and regulatory compliance.

In-depth knowledge of marine crane technologies and safety legislation.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Eligible for Controlled Goods and Secret clearance (can start with Reliability clearance).
Note: Strong candidates from other Canadian locations who are open to travel will be considered.
