Intake Coordinator – Personal Injury (Full-Time, On-Site)
Location: North York, ON
Firm: Lofranco Corriero Personal Injury Lawyers
Lofranco Corriero is a boutique North York law firm exclusively representing Plaintiffs in personal injury matters. We are passionate advocates for our clients, combining compassion with a pragmatic approach to the practice of law.
We are seeking a dedicated Intake Coordinator to join our Accident Benefits team. This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for candidates with experience in personal injury law, particularly with Accident Benefits administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client interviews and manage the intake process for personal injury claims
- Gather, review, and organize necessary documentation, including OCF forms as per SABS requirements
- Draft correspondence and communicate with insurance companies, medical institutions, defence counsel, and clients
- Assist lawyers with legal research, document review, and preparation of legal documents
- Monitor and manage due dates, limitation periods, and time-sensitive documents
- Process and follow up on claims for specified benefits, ensuring timely receipt
- Open and close files, complete forms, and prepare applications
- Request clinical notes and records, handle productions, and manage LAT applications
- Maintain accuracy and completeness of case files using Primafact and other legal software
- Support the Accident Benefits team from intake through to resolution, including administrative tasks as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in personal injury law, preferably with Accident Benefits administration
- Law Clerk, Legal Assistant, or Paralegal Assistant certification or diploma required
- Strong knowledge of SABS and personal injury procedures
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience with Primafact and LAT applications is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred
- Preference given to applicants with Plaintiff’s personal injury experience, but recent graduates with the right drive and skills will be considered
Compensation
- $25.00–$35.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
- Full-time, on-site position
- Internship opportunities available
