About The Role An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to undertake the position of Youth Engagement Officer within the Primary and Preventative Health Department at Western District Health Service.

The Youth Engagement Officer plays a pivotal role in the promotion and delivery of youth services for 12- to 25-year-olds in the Southern Grampians area and fulfills the role of Crew Support Worker for Live4Life Southern Grampians.

Through proactive engagement and the creation of meaningful partnerships with relevant stakeholders and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds, abilities and ages, the Youth Engagement Officer is responsible for implementing innovative, youth-based programs, including Live4Life, that meet the needs of young people in our area and promote positive health and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification in youth work, community development or a related discipline or equivalent experience. Previous experience in organising events and a flair for graphic design and knowledge of event promotion is highly desirable.

Completion of Youth Mental Health First Aid, or willingness to undertake this training, is required for this role.
