Junior Designer- Temporary Contract

We are seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our in-house Marketing Studio team on a temporary 4-month contract. In this role, you’ll bring your creativity and design skills to life across both digital and traditional channels, supporting our Pizza Pizza Non-Traditional Sites (NTS) and Special Events teams.

This hybrid role reports into our corporate office, located in south Etobicoke.

Responsibilities:

  • Design creative assets from concept to execution for our NTS and Special Events teams.
  • Support menu layout updates and custom designs for local store marketing.
  • Translate marketing and brand objectives into assets for digital (web, social, video, email, programmatic) and traditional (print, OOH, signage, POP).
  • Ensure all deliverables are pixel-perfect, press ready and adhere to the latest usability standards and industry specifications.
  • Prepare and version creative assets as needed (by market, language, pricing, etc.).
  • Follow brand guidelines and maintain design consistency across all materials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of professional graphic design experience with a marketing agency or in-house team at a retail-driven business.
  • Post-secondary education in Graphic Design or a related field.
  • Passion for visual communication and storytelling coupled with a demonstrated history of creativity and innovation.
  • Enjoys working hands-on in a fast-paced marketing and creative team environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital and print production, industry standards and design trends.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Collaborative and responsive approach with other departments and external suppliers.
  • Able to handle multiple projects, complex versioning, proofreading and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, attention to detail and strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Google apps and Project Management tools (Asana, Monday, Etc…) is an asset.
