Your Opportunity at SECURE We are seeking a Service Writer with superior time management skills to join our busy Edmonton shop

To be considered for this position, please ensure your application is submitted by June 30, 2025 The Team This role is responsible for coordinating equipment repairs, controlling inventory, creating, reviewing and completing work orders as well as other duties. The ideal candidates will be safety conscious, have previous experience or transferable skills, and a positive can-do attitude.

Work Environment This is a full time position.

A Day in The Life

  • Coordinate equipment repairs with internal customers and maintenance department
  • Accurately create and complete work orders efficiently
  • Accurately capture costs associated with each repair
  • Provide updates to internal customers on status of repairs, and inform internal customers of any delays
  • Inventory control- monitor shop supplies, quantities and inventory parts.
  • Clearly articulate repair needs to leads, technicians and mechanics
  • Work with Parts Purchaser on upcoming work order’s, repair orders and services to ensure that the correct parts are available for the job
  • Review and ensure WOs are completed properly and accurately
  • Other assigned work as required

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of some mechanical repairs
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Safety conscious
  • Communicate regarding work and daily tasks to all employees
  • Exchange technical information with maintenance staff to provide descriptions of equipment faults to help troubleshoot failures
  • Communicate using two-way radio/email
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to recognize the environmental factors and risks that enable and support safety in the workplace
  • Ability to maintain professionalism always and work with limited supervision
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to complete reports as required
