This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products. Job Purpose and Impact
The Crop Inputs Sales Representative (12 month term) will, with guidance, sell directly to the consumer or business purchaser or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will conduct face to face and remote sales with new and existing customers, assist in evaluating customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions. Key Accountabilities
Interact and work well in a team environment.
Help identify potential customers and handle existing customer relationships.
With guidance conduct market research and pricing, sales and merchandising activities.
Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers.
Support business growth by disseminating favorable information about the organization and its products and services.
Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of two years of related work experience.
Possess a valid Canadian drivers licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during your employment.
Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
Preferred Qualifications
Diploma/certificate or bachelor's degree in a related field
Two years of experience in the Canadian grain industry, agricultural production or farm management.
Sales experience and great customer service skills .
Knowledge of grain and crop input operations and products.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Experience using customer relationship management software.
