Position Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Financial Analytics Data Engineer to join our growing team in FP&A. As a Financial Analytics Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure that support analytics and financial models for the FP&A team. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, available, and accessible.

MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE Key Accountabilities Of This Position Include

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from diverse sources.
  • Work with the Enterprise Systems team when source data schemas are modified to ensure continued operation.
  • Build and optimize scalable data architectures, including data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all pipelines and storage layers.
  • Monitor data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements for performance and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data architecture, pipelines, and best practices.
  • Work with SQL Server to manage data infrastructure and deployment.
  • Implement data governance and compliance standards where appropriate.
  • Support the FP&A team with ongoing analytics and ad-hoc request as needed by the business.

Qualifications SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of version control systems and popular source code tracking and development tools such as Visual Studio Code.
  • Experienced in the retrieval and manipulation of data through SQL statements and in-language libraries and an in-depth understanding of data transformation and manipulation such as data sources, data staging and data sharing.
  • 3+ years of experience in a data engineering or similar role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Javascript).
  • Experienced in writing and presenting information for end users to present data to a variety of presentation layers including, but not limited to, MS Excel; experience using 3rd party WEB controls, specifically Telerik. Knowledge of VB.Net and HTML required.
  • Experience with data modeling and designing relational and non-relational databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data services (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Factory).
