As a Structures Technician, you’ll repair and overhaul gas turbine engines.
What you’ll do :
- Performing structural repairs and overhauls on a variety of OEM approved products
- Structural assembly including riveting
- Fabrication of sheet metal detail parts or repair parts to drawings or other supplied specifications
- Reviews blueprints and drawings to determine requirements of jobs
- Applying information from air services bulletins, technical documentation and CARs to various jobs
- Utilizing fixtures and jigs to repair damaged structural sections
- Troubleshooting and ensuring required performance and standards of the repaired unit/pieces
- Develop work methods, procedures and standards, if necessary
- Plan, organize and coordinate assigned work
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of shop machines and tools
Position Requirements
- Minimum four years of Aircraft Structural Repair experience
- Previous structures experience in structural R&O on-aircraft
- Fixtures experience would be an asset
- An AME S license would be an asset
- Thorough understanding of all technical documents such as: technical bulletins, alert service bulletins, etc.
- Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations
- Ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
- Willing to work overtime
- Formal, recognized training (BCIT or equivalent) would be an asset

StandardAero is organized in two distinctive divisions, Engine Services and Component Repair Services. These two divisions represent the core strengths of StandardAero, our exhaustive engine maintenance, repair and overhaul services capabilities and our significant portfolio of component repair services for business aviation, commercial aviation, military, fixed wing, helicopter and industrial power customers.
