The Village of Winston Park located in Kitchener, Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Position Personal Care Aide to join their Retirement team.

As our new Personal Care Aide (PCA) you will:

  • Display a caring and respectful attitude toward our residents, families, and team members.

  • Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the PCA role.

  • Be able to prioritize and properly complete tasks effectively without compromising the care and compassion provided to residents even when under stress.

  • Work as part of a cross-functional team by giving and providing feedback with the neighbourhood team and collaborating with others to provide the exceptional care to our residents.

  • Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of service to our residents, visitors, and team members through comprehensive and effective support.

  • Provide a positive customer experience for residents, families, team members, volunteers, and community partners through our Customer Experience Credo, CONNECT the Dots (Know Me, Be Present, Walk in My Shoes, Earn Trust and Follow Through).

It would be considered an asset if you have:

  • Proven alignment with our organizational vision, mission, and values of Caring relationships, Persistent and passionate, Positive, Can-do attitude, Creative and innovative, Hardworking and hands-on and Genuine and humble.
  • Previous experience working in a Long-Term Care or Retirement Setting.
  • Knowledge of the skills required to work with people living with Dementia.
  • Experience providing activities of daily living within a geriatric population.
