Impact North is Impact Engineering’s first regional office, established in Smithers in 2022 by the Managing Partner after demonstrated demand by key clients in the region. Impact North is currently staffed by three Impact team members – the Managing Partner, Operations Lead and an Electrical EIT.
The Role
This is a multifaceted administrative position ideal for someone who enjoys structure, clear processes, writing, and making a tangible impact on day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Format, structure, and assist in writing and proofreading proposals
- Track proposals and coordinate follow-up communications
- Maintain a consistent and professional brand across outgoing documents
- Coordinate marketing and social media materials including LinkedIn postings, job postings, presentation and public materials, etc.
- Provide administrative support to the northern team and leadership, including meeting scheduling and internal coordination
- Other tasks based on interest and capability may include: data cleanup for software transition, accounting support, report generation, etc.
What We’re Looking For
Skills & Experience:
- Strong attention to detail and a knack for formatting and editing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative and work independently
- Bonus: Experience with proposal writing, project tracking, or CRM systems
- Bonus: Experience in administrative support or office coordination
Ideal Candidate:
- Based in Smithers or nearby
- Interested in flexible, part-time work (starting at ~5 hours/week and scaling up to ~20 hours/week)
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
- Professional and organized
