We are a leading real estate investment and professional property management company focused on acquiring and managing properties in Winnipeg and Toronto. Our portfolio includes a wide range of assets, primarily residential apartment buildings, but also a commercial portfolio, both owner operated and third party. We are seeking a short term full time temporary contractor to manage our Account Payable role. A full time permanent role will eventually be hired, providing this contractor the opportunity to demonstrate their long term potential first hand.
Detail oriented and organized, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, and possess strong analytical skills to assist in account reconciliation.
This is an immediate opening with long term potential.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for payment in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Assist in analyzing financial statements and reports related to accounts payable.
- Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status and discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
