AIMCo's Procurement and SRM team is the strategic partner who collaborates with diverse business areas ensuring strategic objectives are achieved following procurement framework and a risk-based supplier relationship management process. We are a team that focuses on quality, delivering superior service levels and one that embraces social, ethical, and environmental causes. As the student on our team, you will have the opportunity to perform in a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment. You will be supporting various procurement and supplier management areas. You will learn from professionals with expertise in various areas such as public procurement, risk management and vendor management. You will receive coaching while working on projects and supporting daily operations. At the end of the term, you will have broadened your exposure to financial industry, developed new skills in contract documentation, data analysis and vendor performance management.
Note: This is an 8-month, full-time term from September 2025 through April 2026. This posting will close at 11:59pm MT on July 17, 2025. Responsibilities
- Support day to day Procurement function including competitive procurement management, contract amendments and renewals
- Support Procurement and SRM projects and prepare documentation for project activities
- Review, analyze, and organize different data and file types
- Support SRM with the Consultant/Contractor Offboarding process, including reconciliation and validation, dashboard management and communications
- Communicating with suppliers on regular basis under performance management and risk management cycles
- Collaborate with internal and external parties on business process improvements
Our Ideal Candidate
- In pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, preferably supply chain management or operations. An interest in Procurement, SRM and or supply chain is paramount
- Enrolled in a work experience program with a post-secondary institution (Ex: Co-op)
- Attention to detail, process driven and with critical thinking skills
- Intermediate to advance proficiency of Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and PowerBI)
- Ability to interpret complex data to extract valuable insights to help drive data driven decisions
- Initiative and ability to learn how to create process and policy documentation
- Demonstrates a strong commitment to AIMCo’s core values of excellence, transparency, humility, integrity and collaboration, and inspires the same in others
Success By the end of the term, you will have practical knowledge of Procurement and SRM practices, a better understanding of the financial industry, and well prepared for career opportunities in Supply Chain Management field.
