We are looking for candidates to fill the following position:
Senior Project Manager
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Review contract documents and prepare a scope of work profile before proceeding with the work;
- Generate detailed lists from the technical sketches provided (equipment, surface area, linear feet, use the ‘take off’ system) for purchases;
- Negotiate and issue purchase orders according to project requirements;
- Prepare and manage construction schedules using Microsoft Project software, and draw up a summary table of equipment required, including delivery dates;
- Coordinate all project details with clients, architects, engineers and other trades or stakeholders;
- Manage the project installations within budget and maintain an up-to-date cost report for the project;
- Manage and monitor the contract change order process, including setting prices, presenting values, and executing the work;
- Prepare the schedule of values for monthly approval by the professionals/contractors and subsequently issue and manage progress billing;
- Draw up a detailed list of the scope of work and test procedures to be followed during the commissioning of equipment, commissioning reports, control, balancing, insulation and other trades;
- Attend all site tests as much as possible and comment on observations as necessary;
- Maintaining and ensuring quality control and minimising project deficiencies;
- Attend site meetings;
- Manage project warranties, maintenance and service;
- Prepare letters and memos to various departments, subcontractors and suppliers as required for the execution of the work.
Profile and skills we are looking for
- DEC or BAC in building mechanics;
- 10+ years' experience in building mechanics (HVAC, plumbing/piping);
- Experience in the HVAC field for a ventilation contractor (an asset);
- ASP card
- Knowledge of Autocad / Revit (an asset);
- Windows / Microsoft Office;
- Bilingual (French and English).
