Education and Training:
-
Successful completion of grade twelve or equivalent (i.e. General Education Development (GED) or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE).

Proven Certification in WHMIS.
-
Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.
Experience:
-
Minimum of three (3) months recent relevant experience required
-
Experience handling and transporting medical equipment and supplies, laboratory samples and medical gases
Knowledge/Skills
Ability:
-
Ability to transport patients using stretchers, wheelchairs and other transporting equipment
-
Must have working knowledge of aseptic techniques in an Operating Room environment
-
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to communicate effectively with patients and other health care professionals
-
Proven ability to understand, interpret and apply written and oral instructions
-
Proven ability to safely lift, push and pull up to 49 lbs
Personal Suitability:

Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record
