Insight Health Solutions, fully part of THP, is a provider of primarily, third party, assessment, rehabilitation and disability management and related healthcare services. Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Managing Director (AVP), Insight Health Solutions, the Director, Business Development & Diversification, is a critical new role and an integral member of the Insight Health Solutions Program’s team, focusing on leading revenue growth in private healthcare sectors to support THP’s sustainability goal.

The Director will develop and implement a multiyear provincial and national business diversification strategy related to healthcare revenue generation including the identification of targeted revenue opportunities, market planning, pipeline tracking, developing, managing and overseeing key relationships and leading and coordinating cross-functional teams to support the provision of high quality, evidence informed rehabilitation, disability and related healthcare services in innovative and efficient ways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Diversification Strategy Development & Execution: Work with Managing Director, physician leads broader insight leadership team to develop a business diversification strategy aligned with insight’s business strategy and THP’s strategic plan.
  • Lead the delivery of year over year growth in revenue at the customer and sector level, with clear identification of high value accounts and associated strategy implementation
  • External and Internal Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and industry leaders at all levels; have an innate desire to over deliver and provide exemplary service, always.
  • Develop strategic partnerships aligned with strategic initiatives and business opportunities
  • Facilitate, negotiate and create agreements that are mutually beneficial and ultimately lead to the provision of high quality, efficient healthcare services.
  • Work closely with internal operational leaders and teams to ensure customer and stakeholder needs are met and to ensure a smooth transition from sales and integration through to operations and evaluation.
  • Work closely with internal finance and legal counsel internally and externally, to develop business cases and contractual agreements, quickly and efficiently while continuing to build own expertise in these areas
  • Oversee and develop a high-functioning Business Diversification Team: Oversee and develop managers, project managers and coordinators, account management and administrative staff and students to develop a high performing team
  • Marketing and Brand Recognition: Development and implementation of a marketing plan; oversee marketing campaigns targeting sector growth including a broad spectrum from multi-soft social media platforms and events to academic-speaking forums
  • Ability to turn marketing opportunities into revenue and measure success
  • Lead and develop presentations, web and video content and other material to support pitches and market outreach
  • Continual Application of Industry Knowledge and Expertise: Expertise in business development and strategic partnership in the healthcare setting
  • Track record of turning leads to sales and complex, high value opportunities
  • Demonstrated history of driving revenues through strong customer and stakeholder relationship management
  • Expert understanding of the third-party healthcare landscape in Ontario and Canada

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree in Business or Health related field required.
  • Master’s degree or current registration in a Graduate program preferred (e.g. Business Administration, Health Administration, Leadership) or equivalent experience
  • Regulated Health Professional, preferred
  • Minimum of ten to fifteen (10-15) years of relevant third party sales and business development relevant industry experience (disability management, insurance, rehabilitation etc.)
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive senior leadership experience within the healthcare industry
  • A high achiever with an exceptional track record of success in sales and is recognized for their leadership, negotiation skills and handling of complex business challenges
  • Aptitude for thriving in a rapidly changing business environment and known for driving high impact change to ensure sales team engagement, efficiency and exceptional customer experience
  • Known to proactively bring forward ideas, using data to support decisions and recommendations - thoroughly, quickly and decisively
  • A sales closer who constantly over-achieves targets; Adopts an advisory approach to interacting at customer senior levels; Able to bring strong business judgment and resources to bear on solution development and successfully concluding of the sale
  • Ability to drive and achieve results in a systematic and coordinated manner
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex and fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • An effective team player (integration, operations, partnerships) team builder, overseer and leader with a proactive mindset & ability to motivate and inspire
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, conflict resolution and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated financial and data analysis acumen
  • Able to work well independently
  • Exceptional ambassador for THP, living the values with passion and integrity
  • Experience with CRM and project management software - preferred

Travel Requirements

  • Frequent travel, mostly in southern Ontario and more broadly including nationally several times a year, is a job requirement and access to a reliable automobile is required
  • The role is hybrid home/ in-office
