You’ll support our Partners across all DMCL offices on sophisticated planning engagements, working closely with a collaborative team of 3 Senior Managers, 3 Managers, and 5 Partners. With fewer layers and a smaller leadership structure, you’ll have direct exposure to decision-makers, real-time learning opportunities, and a say in how your role evolves.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support a variety of tax planning and consulting engagements for corporate and private clients.
- Manage client relationships with a focus on strategic advice and forward-looking planning.
- Collaborate with Partners and Senior Managers across service lines on reorganizations, M&A, estate, and cross-border matters.
- Contribute to the development of the tax team and mentor junior staff.
- Stay current with changes in tax legislation and bring forward innovative solutions.
What We're Looking For
- A CPA with 4+ years of Canadian tax experience in a public practice firm
- Completed Year 1 and currently enrolled in the Year 2 CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program
- A solid background in compliance, but a clear passion for diving into planning and analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’re confident with clients and collaborative with your team
- Organized, ambitious, and excited about shaping your own career path
- Experience with owner-managed businesses and private clients is a strong asset
