About the role

Job Description JOB POSTING CNC Lead, LINC ( Part-time, Permanent ) CCS is a settlement agency providing a wide range of services to immigrants and refugees regardless of race, religion or immigration status.

We are searching for a part-time CNC Lead who will be supporting the LINC program by providing quality childcare for children (8 months to 6 years old) from diverse backgrounds, while coordinating and supervising CNC Workers and volunteers.

W Hat You Will Be Doing

  • Prepare program plans using emergent curriculum focus to prepare children for kindergarten
  • Develop children’s program to facilitate language and social skills development and integration of children
  • Co-ordinate and supervise CNC Workers and volunteers
  • Collect, review and file CNC Workers’ daily activity plans
  • Assess and register children in program
  • Ensure development and compliance of health & safety standards and best practices
  • Actively integrate parents into the childcare centre; provide guidance to parents
  • Seek to resolve conflicts or issues with parents, staff and/or volunteers
  • Provide guidance to, and resolve conflicts with, parents
  • Monitor compliance of the Ontario LINC Childminding Guidelines
  • Provide guidance and training to Childminders in the development of the children’s program
  • Prepare needs assessment and plan childminding professional development program
  • Collect, tabulate and prepare narrative reports on a monthly and ad hoc basis and other information as required
  • Prepare and submit monthly statistical and cash reports
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to Manager regarding program delivery
  • Assist in childminding
  • Provide input to LINC Manager in preparing funding applications

What are we looking for?

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma from a recognized institution is required
  • Experience working with children from infants to school age
  • Creative and able to plan and implement age-appropriate activities
  • Sensitive to cultural, linguistic and religious diversity
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
  • TB test and up-to-date immunization records

Location: 4557 Hurontario St., Mississauga, ON

Compensation: $25.79 to $28.56 based on experience

Hours of work : 19 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and occasional overtime as required

From its humble beginnings in a downtown Toronto church in 1954, CCS has grown into one of the largest settlement organizations in Canada. More than 200 employees and 100's of volunteers deliver culturally-sensitive and linguistically appropriate programs and services in more than thirty languages.
