Your Opportunity

We have an exciting three-month communications internship opportunity with our Employee Communications team! This position calls for someone who is curious, eager to learn, flexible, and is passionate about using communications to connect people, improve the employee experience, and drive long-term business strategy. In this role, you will work within Stantec’s corporate communications function to support a wide range of communications and administrative activities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Write, format, and template content in our brand voice and style for various channels to support our team and internal corporate functional service teams.
  • Support the development of communications strategies, plans, and materials.
  • Maintain the team’s document repository and ticketing system to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Work with the Employee Communications team to support general day-to-day efforts and special projects as they arise.

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Detail oriented and organized with strong analytical, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Outlook, Word, Teams, SharePoint, and web-based interfaces.
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team, as well as independently.

Education and Experience

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post-secondary degree in business, marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, or an equivalent level of experience.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Pay Range:

  • Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 37,500.00 - Max Salary $ 50,600.00

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
