About the role

Job summary

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to develop and maintain advanced models tracking the lifecycle of manufactured products—from units sold to units recycled. This role supports sustainability initiatives and circular economy strategies by gathering and analyzing multi-year datasets from internal and external sources, including manufacturers.

Responsibilities

Data Engineering, Modeling, Analysis & Management

  • Develop, and maintain physical and virtual data models and presentation layers to support reporting and optimize data access.
  • Build and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, processing, and storage.
  • Design scalable data solutions to support analytics and machine learning initiatives.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity through comprehensive testing and validation procedures.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights using statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive analytics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy data solutions and automate workflows.
  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and reports that effectively communicate complex analytical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support the implementation and adoption of new and existing data tools and workflows.

Collaboration & Best Practices

  • Utilize agile framework to prototype, test, and refine data solutions.
  • Document business intelligence and data management solutions thoroughly.
  • Partner with teams across Operations, Finance, HR, and Communications to deepen subject matter understanding.
  • Implement and follow best practices in data science, including version control, MLOps, and collaborative tools.
  • Conduct impact assessments and provide accurate estimates for data initiatives.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in analytics, AI/ML, and data engineering to continuously enhance ABCRC’s data science capabilities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's in Data Science.
  • Certification in Data Science (eg. Certified Analytics Professional, Alteryx Designer).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working with large datasets to develop data-driven solutions.
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, data visualization, data warehouse design, and ETL frameworks.
  • Proven ability to develop and optimize data pipelines for efficient data flow and integration across systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as Python, R, Spark, Docker, and SQL, with experience in cloud-based data platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Automation Anywhere.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address complex analytical challenges to deliver measurable business value.
  • Experience with big data technologies and real-time or batch processing frameworks is considered an asset.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $81,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
