What You’ll Do

As the Operations Support Specialist, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the daily activities that keep plant operations running efficiently. You will collaborate with the sales, operations, and supply chain teams. Other dutied include:

  • Performing inventory transactions between Dyno Nobel sites
  • Actively participating in inventory counts with production teams and entering data in SAP
  • Tracking production data, including raw material consumption
  • Collaborating with procurement to maintain raw material levels
  • Creating purchase orders and setting up vendors in SAP
  • Entering invoices for accounts payable in SAP
  • Coordinating logistics with transport partners for explosive product distribution
  • Preparing documentation for product transport, including hazardous materials documentation
  • Developing general knowledge to back up other Canada East team members during absences
  • Complying with all government regulations and internal company policies
  • Responding to staff inquiries and providing necessary information
  • Ensuring complete and timely order deliveries
  • Performing related administrative and clerical tasks
  • Comply with all government regulation (including NRCan, TDG, OH&S and WHMIS) and company policies (including ISO and MSA standards)

What We’re Looking For:

  • College/University Business related degree is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a medium to large company
  • SAP experience is required
  • Strong communication, teamwork skills and High attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
