About the role

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time motivated and detail-oriented Junior Cost Controller - Scheduler to support our client’s Project Controls team in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will assist with tracking project costs, monitoring budgets, preparing cost reports, and maintaining accurate project scheduling. You will work closely with senior team members, procurement, and accounts payable to ensure financial and scheduling accuracy for ongoing projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Primavera (P6) experience is an asset
  • Assist Senior Project controls in tracking project costs and comparing against budget
  • Support the preparation of monthly cost reports and forecasts
  • Help monitor commitments, incurred costs, and actuals
  • Coordinate with procurement and accounts payable for invoice verification and coding
  • Assist with change management and budget adjustments
  • Support data collection for earned value and progress reporting and importing into Prism
  • Organize and file cost documentation for audit and review
  • Assist with resource loading and progress entry of schedules

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years Previous experience or internship in project cost control or scheduling is required
  • Familiarity with Primavera P6 is preferred.
  • Knowledge of cost tracking, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Motivated, proactive, and willing to learn.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
