Role: NoSQL DBA (Cassandra Expert)
Location: Toronto (Hybrid)

We are looking for a highly skilled NoSQL DBA with deep expertise in Cassandra to join an enterprise-level project in Toronto. If you're passionate about performance optimization, high availability systems, and working in fast-paced environments, this is the role for you!
Role Overview:
- Consult, engineer, install, configure, and maintain NoSQL databases aligned with business goals and technical standards.
- Monitor and fine-tune performance to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient NoSQL schemas and structures.
- Lead backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes to ensure data resilience.
- Provide third-level support and participate in rotational on-call coverage.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a NoSQL DBA, specifically with Cassandra.
- Strong expertise in Cassandra OpsCenter, deployment, and configuration.
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL/NoSQL queries.
- Experience deploying Cassandra in AWS, GCP, and VM-based environments.
- Familiar with distributed database architecture, performance tuning, and security hardening.
- Comfortable with cloud technologies, Oracle RAC (12c/19c), and ITIL framework.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple environments, and handle escalations professionally.
- Financial services IT experience is a plus.
