About the role
Job Description The Lead Technician, Service role combines technical expertise with day-to-day coordination responsibilities. This position supports the efficient execution of repair, maintenance, overhaul, and rework activities by helping align daily tasks with production schedule priorities. While not a formal supervisory role, the Lead Technician acts as a key resource to the team by providing guidance, troubleshooting support, and insight to help resolve complex faults and prevent recurrence.
In the manager’s absence, the Lead Technician may assist in coordinating technician assignments and ensuring smooth workflow continuity. When needed, this role will also carry out service activities directly.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Execute the service programs established in the infusion pumps (configuration changes, maintenance, repairs, recertifications or others), complying with the technical instructions in accordance with the service manual and current procedures.

Record service activities in the Device System Of Record DSOR (Device System Of Record), ensuring the traceability and reliability of the pump inventory, as well as adequate reports for the service metrics KPI (Key Performance Indicator).

Perform investigation processes of customer complaints according to the established procedures, as well as the process of closing them in the DSOR systems.

Train and oversee repair activities as needed.

Ensure the execution of different activities or procedures required to be carried out, such as:

Effective use of spare parts, supplies, and tools and their distribution to technicians.

Support instrument calibration activities

Generation of reports and/or KPIs

Plan and support training sessions, certifications or refresher sessions for technical personnel.

Comply with the training/training programs of the company.

Reporting of expense accounts in compliance with company policies.
-
Perform statistics analysis of service and failures.

Transmit information and distribute guidelines as required by management, as well as ensure understanding and clarify any doubts or questions from the team.

Oversee and support maintenance of technological resources, tools, and measuring instruments to ensure good physical and functional condition, Re-enforce and oversee work areas cleanliness and organization. Complying with the related programs and procedures: Metrologic control of instruments, humidity, and temperature controls.

Participate and support inspections/audits of the quality system.

Work on special projects as they arise.
Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
- Microsoft Office packages, database systems and multidisciplinary work.
- Ability to work under pressure, follow up, leadership and commitment.
- Orientation to the fulfillment of objectives.
- Skill in handling mechanical tools.
- Knowledge and skill in handling electronic measuring instruments.
- Knowledge and management of electronic components, circuits and diagrams.
Education And Experience
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5-7 years industry experience in a high-tech manufacturing or servicing environment
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
Travel Requirements
- Typically requires travel less than 25% of the time
Physical Requirements And Work Environment
- Job duties are performed in a service repair hub environment
- Must have high level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to work with electro-mechanical medical devices
- Must be able to move and lift objects of up to 25 lbs.
