Manager, Investor Relations (Real Estate)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manager, Investor Relations to join a highly respected corporate finance team based in Toronto. This role offers you the chance to play a pivotal part in supporting investor relationship management, reporting, and analysis activities within a collaborative and supportive environment.

What you'll do:
- Prepare and distribute comprehensive financial and operational reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis for both internal teams and external partners, serving as a key point of contact for all investor requests.
- Contribute actively to the creation and alignment of key messaging across written communications and verbal updates to ensure consistency throughout all investor interactions.
- Lead the end-to-end development of engaging investor materials such as presentations, fund updates, quarterly letters, and offering documents that clearly communicate complex financial information.
- Develop detailed responses to complex investor requests by preparing Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs) with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, investments, compliance, accounting, and marketing teams to source accurate information and validate data used in investor communications.
- Support the preparation of sustainability-related deliverables including quarterly and annual reports as well as GRESB submissions to meet evolving stakeholder expectations.
- Execute ad hoc strategic initiatives that contribute to the overall goals of the corporate finance function while maintaining high standards of quality in all deliverables.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends relevant to real estate investment operations to inform reporting practices and stakeholder engagement strategies.
What you bring:
- Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, commerce or related field is required; advanced credentials such as MBA, CPA, CAIA or CFA are highly regarded.
- A minimum of five years' experience in investor relations, capital markets, equity research, investment banking, accounting or corporate development is essential for success in this role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools-particularly Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for presentation development-is necessary along with experience using CRM systems.
- Demonstrated ability to create visually engaging slide presentations that clearly communicate financial concepts to varied audiences is highly valued.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required with particular strength in interacting with individuals at different levels inside and outside the organisation.
- Excellent organisational skills are needed along with meticulous attention to detail when handling analytical tasks or written communications.
- A collaborative mindset combined with strong interpersonal skills ensures effective teamwork across departments when sourcing or validating information.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while prioritising competing demands under tight deadlines is crucial given the dynamic nature of this environment.
- Understanding of real estate investment or operations is highly preferred as it enhances your ability to contextualise reporting requirements.
