Medavie Health Services West (MHSW) is the subsidiary of Medavie Health Services responsible for the optimal operation and management of an integrated, service-led primary health care organization. MHSW-Moose Jaw delivers a mixture of BLS, ALS and MIH service delivery in both an urban & rural environment utilizing both on-call & on-site deployment. As the population & economy of the city and surrounding area of Moose Jaw grows, so does the need for paramedic service delivery & the professionals who deliver it. Many professional opportunities exist within MHS West-Moose Jaw with the diversity of the service delivery that includes a community involvement, Bike Team, public education, internal/external training, instructorship(s) opportunity with many more future service delivery initiatives.

We require one Paramedic (ACP) to fill temporary full-time vacancy as a Community Paramedicine Paramedic.
The position entails, but is not limited to the following:
- Independent advance clinical care.
- Safe transportation of individuals, including emergency and non-emergency responses, as well as inter-facility transfers.
- Maintain and operate ambulances and related equipment in accordance with patient needs and public safety.
- Clinical expectations and responsibilities for Advanced Care Paramedics are based on the current National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP), the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics registration requirements and Medavie Health Services West policies, procedures and protocols.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have:
- Must meet all legislated requirements for Advanced Care Paramedics in Saskatchewan.
- Must be a registered, active Advanced Care Paramedic with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics, or eligible for registration through the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
- Must be in good standing with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics.
- Must submit with resume a copy (front and back) of a valid Saskatchewan Class 4 Driver's License (or equivalent).
- Must submit with resume ACLS, ITLS and CPR C for Health Care Providers.
- Must submit with resume a current (within last 60 days) valid and clean criminal record check and vulnerable sector check.
- Must submit with resume a current (within last 30 days) driver’s abstract.
- Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record.
- Must have a high regard for confidentiality.
- Must have excellent work habits and exhibit professionalism.
