About the role
Purpose: Instructing ESL students in a warm and inviting environment
Responsibilities:
- plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that facilitate an active learning experience
- observe and evaluate student's test performance and development
- prepare students by fostering the skills needed to take English tests
- lead class discussions, assign homework / presentations
- grade and evaluate students' performance on a daily basis
- engaging students of various levels to participate in group discussions / activities
- provide appropriate feedback on work (written and verbal)
- encourage and monitor the progress of individual students
- maintain accurate and complete student records
- maintain a professional class atmosphere
Qualifications / Education Requirements:

University degree

A completed TESL / TESOL certificate recognized by TESL Canada

Experience teaching various levels of ESL students

Experience teaching ESL classes to adult learners

Experience with Zoom

Prior experience with CELPIP and IELTS is an asset
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 9:00-1:00
Method of teaching:
Classes will be delivered in-person at 1992 Yonge Street
