Key Responsibilities
- Teach Music 100: Rudiments of Music to University Transfer students
- Prepare course materials, create and maintain syllabi, build and follow rubrics to ensure appropriate assessment of course materials
- Utilize the D2L learning platform and other technologies, as applicable
- Creation and evaluation of student learning through regular assessments
- Stay current with developments in the study of Music and integrate new knowledge into teaching
- Encourage open communication with students through scheduled office hours or drop-in hours, as well as email correspondence as needed
- Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success
- Maintain positive relationships with the Dean, Chair, faculty, and staff to ensure a collaborative working environment aimed at student success
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Music or a related field is required
- Instructional experience at a post-secondary level is an asset
- A strong commitment to student success and development, as well as a commitment to belongingness in academia, are essential for all members of the Lakeland College community
Additional Information
This is a Sessional Part-Time Faculty appointment at the Lloydminster campus, commencing September 2, 2025 (summer start date is negotiable). Lakeland College offers an attractive remuneration & benefits package. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
