Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Music 100: Rudiments of Music to University Transfer students
  • Prepare course materials, create and maintain syllabi, build and follow rubrics to ensure appropriate assessment of course materials
  • Utilize the D2L learning platform and other technologies, as applicable
  • Creation and evaluation of student learning through regular assessments
  • Stay current with developments in the study of Music and integrate new knowledge into teaching
  • Encourage open communication with students through scheduled office hours or drop-in hours, as well as email correspondence as needed
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement and success
  • Maintain positive relationships with the Dean, Chair, faculty, and staff to ensure a collaborative working environment aimed at student success

Job Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Music or a related field is required
  • Instructional experience at a post-secondary level is an asset
  • A strong commitment to student success and development, as well as a commitment to belongingness in academia, are essential for all members of the Lakeland College community

Additional Information

This is a Sessional Part-Time Faculty appointment at the Lloydminster campus, commencing September 2, 2025 (summer start date is negotiable). Lakeland College offers an attractive remuneration & benefits package. Salary will commensurate with qualifications and experience.
