About the role
The Financial Analyst will be responsible in reconciling the company’s bank accounts, providing treasury support, and performing month-end closing tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile various bank accounts and other general ledger accounts assigned.
- Investigate discrepancies and clear any outstanding bank transactions.
- Monitor and escalate reconciliation issues with relevant stakeholders (internal or external).
- Maintain matrix of account reconciliations and ensure that all reconciliations are prepared, reviewed, and received by the due dates.
- Prepare and post month-end journal entries as needed.
- Generate month-end reports and analysis as required.
- Provide prompt responses to stakeholders (internal or external) for all inquiries.
- Prepare audit and special request reports as needed.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
- Four-year degree in accounting
- Relevant accounting designation preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, or Accounts Receivable preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience with Workday or Great Plains preferred.
- High degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office and cash management tools.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and current accounting practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization in a professional manner.
