About the role
The Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) Solutions Engineer acts as a vital technical resource throughout the sales lifecycle and post-deployment phases. You will support sales teams and customers by providing expert guidance on UEM solutions, ensuring successful design, implementation, and optimization of mobile device management strategies. Your expertise will bridge business needs and technical capabilities, ensuring secure, scalable, and compliant mobile device environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales:
- Collaborate with Sales, Account Managers, OEM’s, and Solution Architects to understand customer requirements and craft tailored UEM solutions.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions, product presentations, and live demonstrations showcasing UEM features and benefits.
- Develop and lead proof-of-concepts (PoCs) and pilot programs to validate solution fit and performance.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of technical proposals, responses to RFPs/RFIs, and solution architectures.
- Advise customers on best practices around device enrollment, configuration policies, application management, security enforcement, and compliance frameworks.
- Identify integration opportunities with existing infrastructure like identity management, security tools, and enterprise applications.
- Provide competitive analysis and differentiation strategies to support sales positioning.
- Participate in strategic planning sessions to align UEM offerings with customer business objectives and technology roadmaps.
Post-Sales:

Collaborate with implementation and professional services teams to support the deployment and configuration of UEM platforms.

Provide technical escalation and troubleshooting support to resolve complex customer issues related to device management, policy enforcement, or compliance.

Guide customers in optimizing device lifecycle management workflows, update strategies, and security policies.

Conduct training workshops and knowledge transfer sessions to enable customer IT teams to manage UEM solutions effectively.

Monitor deployed environments through analytics and reporting tools to proactively identify risks and recommend improvements.

Gather and communicate customer feedback to product management to influence feature development and enhancements.

Foster long-term relationships by ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upsell and cross-sell of complementary solutions.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Not required, but a plus!

3+ years of hands-on experience with Mobile Device Management platforms such as SOTI Mobicontrol, VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune, MobileIron, IBM MaaS360, or similar platforms.

Strong understanding of mobile OS platforms including iOS, Android, Windows Modern and Windows Mobile / CE.

Proven expertise in device enrollment, mobile application management (MAM), mobile content management (MCM), and security policy enforcement.

Familiarity with enterprise networking concepts, identity management services (Active Directory, Azure AD), VPN, and security protocols.

Experience engaging with customers in both technical and consultative roles.

Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, engineering, and professional services teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications related to UEM or mobility management solutions (e.g., SOTI Mobicontrol, VMware Workspace ONE Professional, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator).
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools for device management.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and data privacy standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Experience with cloud platforms and SaaS delivery models.
