Elysian Ventures is a dedicated agency that supports adults with developmental disabilities and mental health challenges. Our Complex Needs Programs provide personalized, 24/7 support in home and community settings for individuals with high behavioral needs.
We are currently hiring for various shifts, including daytime, overnight, and weekend coverage.

- ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)

Key Responsibilities:
As a Complex Support Worker, you will:
- Support individuals in achieving personal goals and aspirations
- Assist with daily living tasks (independent skills, leisure activities, etc.)
- Provide mental health and behavioral support
- Attend medical appointments and support medication administration
- Help with home routines (meal prep, cleaning, laundry, etc.)
- Encourage meaningful relationships and community engagement
- Promote individual rights, choices, and empowerment
Qualifications:
- Diploma or degree in a related field (Disability Studies, Social Work, Psychology, etc.)
- 1–2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health diagnoses (dual diagnosis)
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage high-stress situations using crisis intervention and prevention techniques
- Knowledge of mental health and developmental disabilities
Additional Requirements:
- First Aid & CPR (preferred)
- CPI and Medication Administration training (asset)
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Valid Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, and $2 million vehicle liability insurance

Mandatory Requirements:

A Criminal Record Check (with Vulnerable Sector) that is dated within the last 6 months
Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
Class 5 Alberta Government Issued Driver’s License
A Driver's Abstract that is dated within the last 6 months
Copy of education listed in resume.
*Please note that given the nature of our work, proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
- Hours of shifts may vary depending on individuals, but typical shifts are as follows:
- Day shifts/Evening shifts are 4 days on 4 days off, 12 hour shifts
- Overnight shift, either awake for 12 hours or sleeping for 8 of 12 hours depending on client)
- 48 hour Live In shifts
