The Opportunity:
As a Personal Lines Data Entry & Underwriting Assistant, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our underwriting team by:
- Contributing to risk analysis and premium calculation.
- Accurately entering information into our policy systems.
- Providing exceptional assistance to brokers and policyholders through responsive inquiries.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance processes and improve our service offerings.

What You’ll Do:
- Assist underwriters in processing new applications, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, declines, and quotes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Request inspections in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare related correspondence and maintain supporting documentation as required.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support to brokers through verbal and written communication.
- Guide and direct brokers on the use of our policy and billing information technology system.
- Support the development and maintenance of strong relationships with brokers to maintain a stable and profitable book of business.
- Assist colleagues with special projects and other assigned tasks.
What You’ll Bring:
- Proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Consistent accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
- Adaptability and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience with administration or underwriting (preferred).
- Post-secondary certificate (preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
