Position Summary As a Product Marketing Manager at Trend Micro, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our cybersecurity platform, Trend Vision One. This position requires a dynamic individual who excels in cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration, building strong internal and external relationships, and taking initiative to adapt and pivot in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
You will lead the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market plans, including product positioning, launch strategies, and sales enablement materials. Additionally, you will create compelling messaging and content that effectively communicates the value and differentiation of our cybersecurity solutions to various audiences including customers, partners, analysts, and more.
This role requires a strong understanding of technology as well as storytelling and marketing skills. We are looking for a candidate that takes initiative, likes to try new things, and work as a team. Expect to travel up to 10% of the time and have some meetings outside of your standard working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Go-to-Market Planning: Collaborate with product managers on all aspects of the product launch, ensuring a successful release and adoption. Drive the development and execution of comprehensive go-to-market strategies for new product launches and updates.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define target markets, positioning, pricing, and promotional tactics, ensuring a successful market entry and sustained growth.
- Messaging: Develop and refine clear, compelling messaging that effectively communicates the unique value propositions and differentiators of our cybersecurity platform. Ensure consistency across all marketing channels and materials, tailoring messages to resonate with various target audiences, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
- Field Enablement: Support the development and delivery of training materials, sales tools, and resources that empower our field teams and partners to effectively sell and support our products.
- Content Creation: Lead the creation of high-quality content that supports marketing campaigns and sales efforts. This includes whitepapers, case studies, webinars, videos, web pages, and more to educate and engage our audience, demonstrating the effectiveness and benefits of our cybersecurity solutions.
- Analyst Relations: Working closely with our Industry Analyst Relations team, build and maintain strong relationships with industry analysts to ensure they are well-informed about our products and strategies. Support briefings, inquiries, evaluations, and research engagements to influence analyst reports and gain valuable insights that can shape our market positioning and product development.
- Corporate Communications: Collaborate with the corporate communications team to align product marketing efforts with broader company narratives and objectives. Support the development of press releases, blog posts, and other communications that highlight product launches, updates, and successes, enhancing our brand reputation and visibility in the cybersecurity industry.
Key Qualifications
- Experience: 7+ years of experience with technical marketing or product management in Enterprise Cybersecurity. Experience in product marketing or product management is required.
- Education: Post-secondary education (degree or diploma) in marketing, business administration, communications, economics, or equivalent experience.
- Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and opportunities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to evangelize messages to customers, analysts, sellers, and more.
- Customer Focus: Passion for understanding and solving customer problems.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.
- Creativity: Leverage your creative thinking to develop innovative go-to-market strategies and messaging that capture the attention of our target audience in a competitive market.
