**Job Title:** Senior Back-End Developer
**Location:** Remote (Occasional On-site in Edmonton may be required)
**Duration:** 12 Months (with potential for extension)
**Job Description:**
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced **Senior Back-End Developers** to support multiple large-scale enterprise initiatives focused on digital transformation and service modernization. You will join a dynamic, high-performing team dedicated to delivering secure, scalable, and user-centric technology solutions using Agile methodologies and modern development practices.
As a Senior Back-End Developer, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of back-end systems that underpin enterprise platforms, products, and services. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with architectural standards and business goals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Lead technical discovery and research, including the creation of architecture diagrams and documentation that support the design of scalable and secure systems.
* Design and develop robust back-end architectures aligned with business requirements and user needs.
* Translate functional requirements into technical specifications and implement high-quality, maintainable, and testable code.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative development cycles, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements.
* Collaborate with front-end designers and architects to deliver consistent and integrated user experiences.
* Perform code reviews and enforce best practices in security, performance, and maintainability.
* Integrate back-end services with CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps teams for seamless deployments.
* Maintain technical documentation, onboard new developers, and continuously improve development practices and processes.
* Support deployments for limited and general release, and troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues in a timely manner.
* Contribute to reusable components and shared services to support a platform-oriented architecture.
**Security Requirements:**
* Must be eligible to obtain criminal records check and enhanced security clearance if required.
* Additional security clearances may be required depending on project assignment.
