Childminding Leader – Part-time

We are looking for a Part-time Childminding with availability to work Saturdays (from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm) or as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children and staff at all times
• Organize and manage the daily routines of the Children’s Centre, including the main room and infant room
• Supervise, engage, play and attend to the needs of children ages 6 weeks to 7 years of age
• Build positive, supportive relationships with parents by providing consistent feedback and communication during each visit
• Create and facilitate developmentally appropriate activities that promote the well-being of each child
• Ensure guidance of children's behavior that encourages positive self-image
• Maintain the daily operations of the Centre
• Keep the environment tidy by cleaning at regular intervals throughout the day
• Sanitize toys, equipment, and materials regularly to maintain hygiene and safety standards
• Collaborate with the infant caregiver to ensure consistent, high-quality care and service for members

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar setting caring for children in a preschool, daycare or childminding setting
• Must have current Child First Aid and CPR Certification
• Knowledge of child development and early learning
• Knowledge of reflective practice
• Be comfortable feeding, changing and handling infants, toddlers and preschoolers
• The ideal candidate will be energetic, patient, and creative, with the ability to build positive connections with both children and their families
• ECE certification or equivalent is an asset
