What You’ll Do As our Door Shop Scheduler, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a door shop production schedule for the Ontario ops team with coordination and buy-in from the other functional groups.

Location: You will be based out of the Halton Hills, ON Warehouse

Reporting Relationship: You will report directly to the Door Shop Supervisor.

At a high level you will:

  • Develop, Review and Maintain the Daily Production Schedule for the Door Shop (doors, pre-hung).
  • Effectively analyze and forecast production for upcoming months based on the sales team projection.
  • Ensure that the business is making the most efficient use of resources in attaining the schedule (i.e. minimizing overtime and optimizing throughput).
  • Develop both a short-range Production Schedule, as well as, a long-range forecast of production volumes, identifying potential capacity constraints and making recommendations that minimize any impact to customer deliveries.
  • Forecast, negotiate and buy packaging material requested for the operation (i.e. pallet, shrink wrap) to serve the customers
  • Provide “what-if” analysis to support potential increases/decreases in volumes, identifying an agreed upon solution that considers all stakeholders perspectives.
  • Create priorities inherent in the master production schedule that supports on-time customer delivery and allows for the attainment of the business’s broader financial goals.
  • Champion production schedule meetings with Operations, Inventory Management, and Customer Operations

Who You Are We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or similar discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in Production Scheduling
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management and Materials Management
  • Knowledge of Material Resource Planning (MRP)
  • You are highly proficient with web-based computer services, specifically ERP
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision-making ability
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • You love to learn. You are passionate about growing your knowledge and skills and being the best you can be
  • Values matter to you. You bring your true self to work and live by ours values – passion, respect, integrity, collaboration, and excellence
  • You demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
  • A “Can Do” attitude and approach

It would be an added bonus if you have:

  • Proficient experience with SAP
  • Lean/ APICs certification
  • Experience within the distribution or manufacturing industry
