Qualifications:
Essential:
- Completion of a Business Administration and/or Accounting Diploma or Certificate. A combination of related education, training and experience may be considered
- Experience performing accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, creating financial reports and/or maintaining financial records
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workloads and effectively manage deadlines
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) or compatible programs
- Effective written communication skills with experience drafting and editing correspondence or other communication
- Effective verbal communication skills to clearly and professionally communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience with interpreting and applying legislation, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Desired:
- Experience working with SAP (Financial Module) or an equivalent financial management software
Duties:
Reporting to the Financial Officer, The Financial Clerk is responsible for processing the day-to-day financial transactions of the region. The incumbent works independently on a variety of tasks of moderate complexity. This position acts as a financial liaison or resource to all program staff within Regional Operations regarding financial transactions, policies, procedures, processes and guidelines as they relate to accounts payable, accounts receivable and recoveries.
