About the role

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation
  • Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial reporting and analysis
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP; experience in a SaaS environment is a plus
  • Proficiency with financial systems; experience with NetSuite (Vena is an asset)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

What the job involves

  • As an Accounting Manager, you will be a key individual contributor within the Finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and operations
  • This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles (particularly US GAAP), a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
  • You will lead critical accounting processes such as month-end closing, operating expenses and capital expenses
  • Your insights will support strategic decision-making and help drive business performance. The ideal candidate is a flexible, independent thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism
  • Apply and ensure compliance with relevant US GAAP standards across all financial cycles
  • Review & approve departmental operating expense, ensuring accuracy and proper classification
  • Review & Approve team reconciliation such as bank accounts, accrued G&A and intercompany payable/receivables
  • Review/Support department variance analysis
  • Oversee accounting for fixed/intangible assets
  • Conduct analyses of balance sheet and operating results by investigating variances, including reviewing for accuracy and classification appropriateness
  • Maintain accurate and complete records for audits and provide audit support as it relates to external and ad hoc audits
  • Generate transactional data and ad-hoc analysis to support operational decision making, with recommendations
