About the Role
Reporting to senior leadership, this individual will oversee a mid-sized finance team and drive operational improvements, reporting accuracy, and team development. This role suits someone calm, adaptable, and respectful of an experienced, long-tenured team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a mid-size team
- Enhance financial processes, controls, and systems
- Prepare and review monthly reporting packages and GL reconciliations
- Assist with audits and year-end prep
- Participate in strategic projects and cross-functional collaboration
- Foster a positive team environment with consistent coaching and mentorship
Ideal Background
- 5+ years in accounting/finance with at least 2–3 years in a leadership role
- Experience in logistics, distribution, or manufacturing preferred
- Strong Excel and ERP skills; process-minded with a continuous improvement focus
- Professional accounting designation required (CPA or equivalent)
- Approachable leadership style with the ability to work with diverse personalities
