The Role
As an AI Ops Assistant (AOA)
, you’ll play a crucial role in making sure our automation systems never let clients down. You’ll work at the edge of what the tech can currently do—bridging gaps, validating data, escalating bugs, and ensuring no client ever hears, “the tech is not ready.”
This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy, takes initiative without waiting to be told, and wants to be part of a gritty, high-performance crew that gets things done. You’ll be directly supporting our data reliability, our clients’ trust, and our team’s ability to scale.
What You’ll Do

Ensure Client Success
Step in when automation hits a blocker, ensure timely, accurate delivery of utility billing data that our clients rely on.

Bridge Automation Gaps
Verify, escalate, and resolve issues where automated systems fall short. Spot patterns and help improve long-term system performance.

Execute Daily Ops
Triage tasks from our internal dashboards and Slack workflows. Upload verified data, track status updates, and resolve connection issues quickly and cleanly.

Communicate & Escalate Smartly
Use judgment to flag bugs, update teammates, and drive resolution without friction. Stay clear, concise, and focused.

Work Cross-Functionally
Partner with support, engineering, and product when needed. Your work touches nearly every function at Deck.
