We are a small, but mighty law firm managed by one partner and with 6 valued employees. Our practice areas are in the areas of real estate, corporate, wills/estates, family and litigation.
We are looking for a corporate and/or real estate legal assistant to join our close knit family at our office. Role Description
The ideal candidate will be working at of our Cornwall, Ontario office and preference will be shown for candidates willing to work out of our office. However, in some instances you may be permitted to work remotely depending on the candidate and their situation.

Experience with technology such as Unity, Fast Company, Ontario Business Registry (OBR), Teraview, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Clio.

Excellent English writing and speaking skills.

Experience preparing corporate resolutions, corporate agreements, share certificates, incorporating companies, assisting with share reorganizations, share purchase transactions, and asset purchase transactions.

Experience preparing closing documents, letters, reports, and coordinating the closing of real estate transactions.

1-3 years of experience as a legal assistant

Must be located in commutable distance to Cornwall, Ontario, Canada

Experience working in a law firm environment.

Experience communicating with clients, other law firms, and government bodies.

Experience organizing files and participating in client meetings.

Willingness to work out of the Cornwall, Ontario office.

Possibility of working remotely, depending on the candidate and their situation.
At times the work environment can be fast-paced and require the candidate to stay calm in the face of tight deadlines. Being able to take on multiple files at one time, with a strong sense of organization and attention to detail and who can learn quickly would be valuable attributes to excel in the role.
