Concord Pacific Developments Corp. is Canada’s largest master-planned community builder. It was formed in 1987 to develop Concord Pacific Place on the former Expo lands in downtown Vancouver, Canada.
Concord has not only transformed the Concord Pacific Place Vancouver skyline, the group has also built the second largest master-planned community, Concord CityPlace in Toronto (Concord Adex), in addition to other communities of scale across the country with expansion also to London, United Kingdom and Seattle, United States. Concord has built over 150 towers with an additional 50 in various stages of planning and development. Concord is committed to a multitude of neighbourhoods and city-wide community sponsorships and charities. It has also been making art accessible to the community neighbourhoods by establishing Canada’s largest public art program.
Over the past 30 years, The Concord Group of companies has also diversified into business sectors such as: software and information technology, telecommunications, and green energy projects in solar, wind and hydroelectric power generation.
We are actively growing our Accounting Team and hiring for a Financial Accountant to join our team on-site in our Vancouver head office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares financial statements, management reports and assists with day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of companies
- Ensures accuracy of accounting transactions and manages accounts, GST and bank reconciliation processes
- Compiles year-end audit working papers and liaises with auditors
- Prepares loan draw reports, sales reports, and coordinates monthly progress draws
- Prepares partnership and corporate tax returns
- Compiles project budgets and conducts variance analysis
- Provides administrative support to management as required
- Other duties may be required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting related position
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
- Accounting Diploma / or an interest in becoming a CPA
- Excellent people skills and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Competent in the use of Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Experience in Sage 300 CRE is an asset
- Good team player, self-motivated and willing to learn
