Job Description As Manager, Engineering Systems, you will be responsible for overseeing the pre-selection, integration, and optimization of engineering tools to support engineering team. This leadership role ensures that tools align with organizational needs, are effectively maintained, and remain up to date. The Engineering Tool Manager collaborates with engineering and IT stakeholders, troubleshoots technical issues, and drives continuous improvement by evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance engineering processes. More specifically, you will:
- Develop and manage the strategy for all engineering tools, ensuring they align with organizational goals.
- Ensure seamless integration between various engineering tools and ERP Systems to support operational efficiency.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance engineering tools for improved performance and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure tools meet functional and business requirements.
- Maintain compliance by ensuring tools are properly documented and adhere to relevant industry standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing new technologies to enhance engineering capabilities.
- Oversee the pre-selection, integration, and management of engineering software tools, ensuring cross-functional compatibility.
- Lead, train, and support engineering team in best practices for tool usage, troubleshooting, and training programs.
- Monitor tool performance, diagnose issues, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement solutions.
- Conduct regular audits, updates, and performance evaluations to enhance tool efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide technical support and collaborate with engineering and IT teams to resolve tool-related challenges.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, documentation standards, and regulatory guidelines for all engineering tools.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 to 15 years in CAD Environment- (obligatory).
- College degree in related field of study.
- Good knowledge on shipbuilding processes.
- Bilingual (French and English). Proficiency in English is required for this position, as the incumbent will be required to interact with our English-speaking clients, partners, and suppliers;
- Ability to work in confident, self-direct manner while prioritizing a large volume of work.
- Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively interface with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Successfully complete the investigation and security clearance process required by the Federal Government Contract Security Program.
- Proven experience in managing engineering tools and software solutions in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to guide and develop technical teams.
- Expertise in tool integration, troubleshooting, and optimization for engineering applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate tool performance and implement improvements.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with engineering, IT, and other departments.
- Knowledge of compliance standards, software licensing, and industry best practices.
- Ability to stay updated with emerging technologies and drive innovation within engineering workflows.
